Just like the Rapid Lamp Generation 2 LED sign tube, the Rapid Lamp Generation 3 LED sign tube is a brilliant innovation from SignLights LED. Despite being new in the market, the product has amassed popularity amongst signage installation companies. It has been created to resolve a major issue that many signage owners face, illuminating slim cabinets such as menu boards.
A lot of sign cabinets these days are built with a little depth in order to get a sleek look. Thin sign cabinets are ideal for applications wherein enough space is not available for deep cabinets. Many business owners prefer having slim sign cabinets, as they find them easy to maintain. However, there is a chance of the problem of hot spots taking place in thin or shallow sign cabinets if the light is not properly distributed. Hot spots are small dots that become visible on the face of a sign board. They can occur on commercial pylon signs, monument LED signs, and other types of LED signs.
Spacing between individual tubes or lamps and the spacing between sign face and tubes or lamps are two main reasons that lead to hot spots. Spacing between individual lights, as well as between the lights and the sign face, is bound to be less in the case of shallow sign cabinets compared to deep sign cabinets.
Thus, such sign cabinets need lighting fixtures that emit light properly and evenly. Our Rapid Lamp Generation 3 LED sign tubes are covered with a high-quality lens. The lens optimizes the light distribution such that it makes it possible for the light to reach every corner of the sign cabinet without leading to any hot spots.
These LED sign lights offer 330-degree illumination. They can be used to light up new build sign cabinets as well as retrofit sign cabinets. Signage fabricators and installers can choose LED lights of suitable size from a wide range of size options, namely F-36 to F-120. Just as we do for our Gen 2 lamps, we divide the Gen 3 tubes of large sizes, such as F-108, F-117, and F-120, into two pieces to make the transport and installation processes hassle-free.
Hence, our Rapid Lamp Generation 3 LED sign tubes are suitable for illuminating box signs of several sizes and depths. They can light up regular/odd shape signs in a variety of scenarios, as they are water resistant. These LED sign tubes are UL-certified, and thus, they are safe to install.
Along with being safe, Generation 3 LED sign lights are also simple to install. They come with internal drivers, so signage installation professionals don’t need to bring external drivers. Bad wiring and ballasts are also no issues when it comes to our LED sign tubes.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
- Cut off the Power. Remove the diffuser (if applicable) and fluorescent lamp. Cut off all the wires going to the tombstones as new tubes are not getting any power from the Ends.
- Connect the Sign LED tubes(male pin) and T connector wires (female). The customer must choose suitable wires(following the vendor's suggestion) to fit different qty of tubes' connecting.
- Install the Sign LED Tube in place(bracket) and connect the Input AC wire.
- FIXTURES ARE NOT GETTING ANY POWER FROM THE END.
- Can be connected 15pcs to 20pcs in series.
- Warning: Please make sure the power is off before installation.

No. Your technician will not require any additional training, as all aspects are handled during the design phase. Technician must-read first 3 – 4 digits ( start with F) on the existing tubes pull the same number of LED tubes, by bypassing ballast if Gen1 or by daisy, chain and connect input for bypassing Gen 3 tubes.
